Ayfie and Canon launch a shared arena for municipal AI
From parallel efforts to shared solutions. A new meeting place for AI collaboration across Norway's municipalities.
Ayfie and Canon are inviting all Norwegian municipalities to help shape a shared arena for municipal AI. Today, many municipalities face the same challenges and explore the same opportunities, but experience, solutions and requirement specifications are largely developed and managed separately. The arena aims to change that, starting with a digital kick-off meeting on 27 October.
Across the country, municipalities are building similar AI solutions in parallel. Lessons learned, including what did not work, rarely reach the next municipality facing the same task. Through our work with municipalities across Norway, we have seen how much knowledge exists in the sector and how little of it is shared. The arena is a first step towards what we are calling a municipal marketplace for AI.

We believe the public sector will get more value from AI when good solutions are built once and shared widely. That is also how Ayfie's platform is designed: solutions should be easy to reuse, adapt and connect to the systems municipalities already run. Taking an active role in the arena keeps us close to the sector's needs and lets us help shape how municipal AI develops in Norway.
The arena is open to all municipalities, not only Ayfie and Canon customers. A neutral meeting place attracts more participants and builds trust across the sector. Municipalities already using Ayfie have a natural head start on sharing and reuse, and those who join early will have a real opportunity to shape the arena from the start.
The kick-off is not a product webinar, but a practical conversation about what municipalities need and how collaboration can work. The initiative is not expected to have a material effect on revenue this quarter.
